It reminded me of a similar question I asked somebody years ago and he listened patiently to my long drawn out explanation, much longer than yours I can assure you - it must have taken 10 minutes, and he didn't interrupt - he just looked at me. Then after I was done he said, "If it works don't fix it."

I don't know if you've heard that. It's something from the past but it made me smile then as I'm sure you were smiling at the end of your comment.

It comes to this my friend. If you have something that works by all means use it. Never consider it lazy to have a personal relationship with God. I have one and I'm happy that you have one.

So - keep on doing it that way as long as it's working for you, that's wonderful.

Goodlife my friend.Robert Shapirohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15834558788450735235noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15435314.post-13275800989808806362008-03-27T05:18:00.000-10:002008-03-27T05:18:00.000-10:00the situation arises often that i can benefit from...the situation arises often that i can benefit from such prayers. i make it very simple. i say something like, "please let this happen for me, God, thank you."
would you say i'm being too simplistic? i have seen that every time i put my wishes into words, however i do it, it works for me.
but sometimes i wonder if my method is too "lazy," because i make it as if i'm talking to a regular person, not reaching out to someone far away. i guess ive already answered my question, knowing my prayers work for me, but do you agree with my way of doing it?Alison Jane Lysakowskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14165072065790598293noreply@blogger.com
